Things To Do In Spring Hill Florida | Spring Hill Air Conditioning

Spring Hill Florida is a small community located 50 miles north from Tampa, FL. Even though this is a small community, we have much to offer the world! My little town is worth a week of your time!

 

You will be greeted by a beautiful landscape of flowers as you drive up Florida's west coast Route 19. There is also a sign welcoming you to Spring Hill. Across the street, you will find a dolphin fountain. You can enjoy a lovely ride to Pine Island's small beach if you make a left turn. The drive is more enjoyable than the beach, in my opinion. Driving to the beach takes you through marshlands, giving you the feeling of driving to Keys or a long scary road in horror movies. There is a biker bar that will sell you a cold beverage and a meal if you get thirsty along the way.

 

 

If you had chosen to drive straight instead of turning, you'll see a number of large dinosaurs as you climb up Route 19. Nobody seems to know why they are there. One dinosaur has an auto repair shop! 

 

 

Continue north for about a mile and you'll reach Weeki Wachee state park. This is a great place to spend several hours. You can rent a canoe from Weeki Wachee, and you'll be able to take a cruise down the river. Be careful, as there may be some gators watching for your dinner. You can also take a Riverboat ride with a guide and learn about the history, fish, gators and other wildlife that you might encounter.

 

 

After your riverboat ride, visit the Mermaids to see a mermaid show. There are several beautiful mermaids who will tell you a story under water. The water temperature is 72 degrees all year for the mermaids, which are swimming in the underground spring. You will be mesmerized at the beauty of the mermaids as they gracefully move through the water.

 

 

This is Weeki Wachee's full-day excursion. The next day you can visit Buccaneer Bay which is a water park that was created from the same underwater spring. You can take crazy rides at the park or relax in the plastic ring while you ride along the banks of the park's outer banks. You can also enjoy a picnic lunch on the large beach or sunbathe on the umbrella area. You will definitely be tired after a day at this park so make sure you get a good night's sleep to keep your week going!

 

 

You will find State Rd 50 in Brooksville as you leave Weeki Wachee. You will need to cross the street into downtown, and then stop at the courthouse to learn more about the history. Some trees were used in lynching years back. There are also statues of dignitaries from the area and stories about pirates who invaded the area over the years. Rogers Christmas House is on your right as you walk down Main Street. This takes at least half an hour for the ladies, so the husbands may want to find a bench or take a break in the car. Rogers has five houses filled with Christmas decorations and ornaments, each one a different theme. When visiting Rogers, you will feel like you're in pure bliss. 

 

You can continue up US 19 for about 30 miles north. If you're a diver, you can also go diving or just enjoy a swim. What's the deal? You will meet and share your space with beautiful manatees while you're swimming. Isn't it cool? Swimming with Manatees  is an amazing experience to share this wonderful moment with these gentle giants.

 

 

After all of this, you can relax at your house and take a nap by the pool. We will take you down 19 towards Hudson Beach, where we'll have dinner at the beach-side bar while you watch the sunset. Hudson Ice Cream is a must-see when you're driving home. You can stop at any time to try new flavors, cones, sauces, or cones. You will be full and ready to go by the time you reach the end of the ice cream so it's time to make your way back to the dinosaurs.
