‘Black Panther 2’: Release Date, Cast(Danai Gurira and Martin Freeman), Trailer, Plot and all the details you need to know!


Another popular Marvel character is the Black Panther. Talking about the prequel, it was directed by Ryan Coogler, who has also directed Creed. The screenplay of the movie is by Joe Robert Cole. The initial movie, Black Panther, was released on February 16, 2018. Like most of the Marvel movies, the movie gained worldwide recognition and became the highest-grossing movie by a black director by collecting $1.3 billion worldwide. For the amazing visuals and acting, the movie won several awards like the 91st Academy Awards in different categories. The movie has also been nominated for major awards.

Release Date

The sequel, The Black Panther 2, is to be expected to release on May 6, 2022. The productions of the movie started on June 30, 2019, as confirmed by the producer. The movie will be continued from the prequel, and explore more about the characters. There is no official trailer released related to the movie. But once we are sure, we will keep you updated. 

The Cast

The official cast members of the movie have not been informed yet. However, it is confirmed that Danai Gurira will play the role of Wakandan traditionalist, Okoye. Martin Freeman as a CIA member, Everett K. Ross. Letitia Wright as the protagonist’s sister Shuri. We are also expecting Chadwick Boseman as the king of Wakanda, Black Panther. However, the other cast members from the previous movie may or may not reprise their roles.  

The Plot

The story is about T’Challa, who takes control of the Kingdom of Wakanda, following his father’s death. He is challenged by many villains, including Killmonger. The plot regarding the sequel is uncertain. But the director did give us a hint that the sequel will explore more into the character of Black Panther and how he continues to rule Wakanda as a king.
