There will be a season two and three after the season one, as confirmed by Crunchyroll in 2019. Also, the team informed on twitter, that the season 2 production is ongoing as of now. However, there is no official date for the release of season 2. We can expect the series somewhere around the end of 2020, or by mid-2021. One of the reasons the series is delayed is due to the global pandemic, which has paused most of the shows and series.
The story revolves around Naofumi Iwatani, one of the brave warriors. Naofumi is called by the Cardinal Heroes, along with three other warriors. With their special types of equipment, these four are expected to defeat monsters called Waves. Unlike the other heroes, Naofumi does not have the support of his kingdom or his people. His princess also accuses him of harassment and leaves him with nothing. With these, the other heroes look down on him, and Naofumi starts self-training as a warrior. He eventually gains the trust of the people by his actions.
The plot of season two is uncertain, but we are sure it is filled with action, drama, and a good storyline.
