The plot of American Gods

The series revolves around the life of the protagonist Shadow Man who lost his wife before his scheduled release date from prison. He, on his way back home to attend his wife’s funeral, met a strange man named Mr. Wednesday. The man started offering him a job which he denied at first but left with no option he finally accepted the job.

Shadow was then introduced to the mysterious latent world of old gods and new gods, where old gods are insecure, seeing the growing power of the new gods that include media, technology, etc. They have a constant fear of being irrelevant and unrecognized. In this constant strife between the Gods, Shadow was struggling to adjust himself in this strange and magical new world.

The makers of this show have planned to improvise the plot before releasing the third season because of criticism and less success of the second season. The second season ended on cliffhangers making the audience eager for the third season. I hope this season strikes the screen soon and meets its fans’expectations.
