The American comedy series, Better Call Saul, is all set to make its comeback with the last installment of the series. The series has 8.7/10 ratings from IMDb, 97% from Rotten Tomatoes, and 9/10 from TV.com, making it one of the most-loved and popular series of Netflix. The show has aired five seasons up to now consisting of 50 episodes, each season consisting of 10 episodes.
What is the series about?
The series revolves around a former con artist, Jimmy McGill, who is trying to mend his ways of life by becoming a respectable lawyer. He transforms himself into a flamboyant criminal lawyer Saul Goodman within six years before the events of Breaking Bad.
Jimmy resolves to get over his past life of a con-man. He joins the Albuquerque law firm, where he, along with his elder brother, Chuck McGill, and Kim Wexler, work as associates. His elder brother is a senior partner alongside Howard Hamlin in the firm and Kim, later becomes Jimmy’s love interest in the series.
Though initially, Jimmy focuses on the public defense and attempts to fight for proper justice, soon, his life and career start to crossways with the illegal drug trade in the region.
Where did the last season end?
Towards the end of the fifth season, we see Jimmy confiding in Kim about his desert trek with Mike. The duo decides to hide at a downtown hotel, where Kim receives 20 pending felonies from the public defender pro bono.
Kim calls up Howard to inform that she wants to quit Schweikart and Cokely. Howard warns her about Jimmy’s recent harassment and suggests her to stop following his lead. Kim snubs him and is later informed by Jimmy, that Lalo is going to be killed.
The series ends with Lalo killing all the assassins except one after getting attacked by the assassins after Nacho opens his gate and flees the place. Lalo then instructs the survivor to call the middleman who had arranged for the murder and tells him to report his death.
