‘The Last Kingdom Season 4’ Release date, plot, cast- Alexander Dreymon, Emily Cox and more

The Last Kingdom is considered as one of Netflix’s best yet most underrated shows. With an 8.4 IMDb rating, this show has been named as one of the most interesting shows on Netflix. Those who have watched all the seasons have claimed that this show gets keeps getting better with each season and there is not even a single dull moment throughout.

Moreover, The Last Kingdom has one many prestigious titles and is a beloved show of the UK, it is now streaming on Netflix, BBC America and BBC Two.


This historical drama series has been set in England in 9th century AD. It is based on the Bernard Cornwell’s Saxon Stories series. Although most of the shooting was done in Hungary, the depiction of medieval England has been loved by most of the viewers. In picturesque locations with fantastic effects and intense action scenes, The Last Kingdom makes up for an interesting much-watch series.

In initial episodes, we see the life of Uhtred unfolding. Uhtred survives during an attack from invaders and is kidnapped and taken by Earl Ragnar as a slave. Although his stepmother and uncle survive, he and his blood relatives are separated.

In season 4, we see Uhtred standing up against his uncle and wage a war in order to avenge the death of his father, while planning to capture the kingdom of Bebbanburg.
