Chicago Fire Season 9: What about the plot details?

Does Chicago Fire still has the capability of providing us another scintillating season? This questions will be answered surely when it airs on NBC for the ninth time. We witnessed season 8 ending with many unfinished storylines. Derek Haas has confirmed that the fans are going to see the continuation of these storylines in the upcoming season.

“I think we can transfer storylines we were going to begin in the last three episodes and adapt them to be season-starting storylines rather than season-ending ones,” he told Entertainment Tonight.

Brett and Casey’s relationship is going to be a key factor in season 9. He is currently dealing with her mother’s death. So, the chances of watching some heated arguments between this couple are quite high. Plus, we can say for sure that this upcoming installment will be filled with higher stakes, intense action and heartwarming drama.

Chicago Fire Season 9 Cast: Who will be in it?

The main cast including Jesse Spencer (Captain Matthew Casey), Taylor Kinney (Lieutenant Kelly Severide), Eamonn Walker (Chief Wallace Boden), David Eigenberg (Christopher Herrmann), Joe Minoso (Joe Cruz), Yuri Sardarov (Brian “Otis” Zvonecek), Christian Stolte (Randy “Mouch” McHolland), Kara Killmer (Sylvie Brett), Miranda Rae Mayo (Stella Kidd), and Annie Illonze as Emily Foster, is set to return for the ninth season.

Series co-creator Derek Haas has confirmed some big cast shake-ups in season 9 to keep the lovers of this show on their toes!

Chicago Fire Season 9 Release Date: When will it come out?

We all know that coronavirus pandemic forced the eighth season to end on an abrupt note when its production work got suspended on March 13, 2020. The makers had no choice but to end it after delivering 20 episodes instead of originally commissioned 23 episodes. Haas stated that they could extend some unresolved plot points. But they are surely not planning to release the unaired episodes.

Right now, we don’t have any official release date. But our best guess is with a release date in early 2021. Stay tuned for more updates.
