Was Jesus married or not?
The question mentioned above always manages to light the fire of controversies among the Christians. The thought of Mary Magdalene, being the wife of Jesus, still enrages many people. One of the most critically acclaimed directors of Hollywood, Martin Scorsese, was targeted by many protesters for his project “The Last Temptation of Christ.” They even set a movie theatre on fire in Paris.
After some years, “The Da Vinci Code” also displayed Mary Magdalene marrying to Jesus Christ. Christians from many countries also protested heavily against this movie. And now, one of the most well-known authors in recent times, Sue Monk Kidd, has decided to step into this controversial territory with her newest entry, The Book of Longings. Only this time, Jesus’ fictional wife will be Ana.
