Hold on, Simmers! We have great news for all of you!
It’s been six years since the record-breaking release of The Sims 4. We can understand why The Simmers have been desperately waiting for the next entry in The Sims franchise. It seems like their wishes are about to come true. In January 2020, Andrew Wilson (CEO of Electronic Arts) himself confirmed that the fifth edition of The Sims is already in its pre-production phase. Hailed as one of the best-selling video games of all time, this franchise has managed to sell over 200 million copies worldwide. Will Wright creates this legendary game.
Check out the following details to know more about the upcoming entry in EA’s life simulation series.
What “The Sims” Is All About?
Most of the entries in The Sims franchise belong to the category of “Sandbox Games,” where the players have no defined goals. They create virtual people in this game called “The Sims.” They have the opportunity of placing their respective Sims avatars into pre-constructed houses, or they can just build them on their own. Each expansion pack provides a new opportunity to the players for developing and exploring their Sims. We can control every aspect of their lives in this game.
The Sims 5: What Can We Expect From It?
The Sims 4 has managed to set the bar high for all the future Sims installments with its improved graphics and customization abilities. So, it will be an excellent challenge for EA and Maxis to provide us with a better entry than the last one.
We know that the gaming community has been begging for introducing the online multiplayer game mode in The Sims franchise. This means that players will have the chance to connect with their friends online. You can also drop a visit to your friend’s house and spend some quality time together. The chances of meeting with new people are on the cards as well. Improved graphics and new features will be provided to The Simmers.
We don’t have any official release date for The Sims 5. But this life simulation series is going to celebrate its 20th anniversary this year. So, we can expect this game to release in late 2020 or in early 2021.
Platforms and Consoles
