Everything you want to know about the third volume of The Kingkiller Chronicles- ‘The Doors of Stone’ by Patrick Rothfuss


The Kingkiller Chronicles are fantasy series which is written by Patrick Rothfuss. Until now, two sequels have been published under the Chronicles, namely, The name of the wind and The wise man’s fear. The books were released in 2007 and 2011, respectively. The third sequel under the Chronicles is on the way now titled as The Doors of Stone. All these books are available in the form of paperback, hardcover, and ebook format. This will be the last book in the Chronicles series. The Chronicles narrates the story of Kvothe’s who is an adventurer and musician from the view of a third person. 10 million copies of the book series had been sold.

Release Date of The Doors of Stone
The book was expected to be released in the year 2019, but it did not get released at that time. Now the same is said to be released in August of 2020. The official date is not announced by the publisher, and it has to be seen whether the book gets released this time or not. It also seems that Patrick Rothfuss is at present busy with his Ricky and Morty series. Fans are waiting for it eagerly, so it is hoped that the book releases soon.

The plotline of The Doors of Stone
Without no doubt, the third book will also be about the tales of Kovoth since the first two narrates the same. In the first two books of the series, Kvothe narrates the story of his life in the Waystone Inn to Devan Lochees and his past. The story about his life is entirely from his perspective in the first person. Perspectives from various persons are also contained in the series with many metafictional stories within stories. In the final book of the series, Kovoth’s tale will finally come to an end.
