‘No Game No Life Season 2’: Will Sora and Shiro Get the God’s Throne in season 2? Release date, characters, plot and many other updates!


No Game No Life is yet another Japanese anime based on a light novel series by Yu Kamiya. Later, Madhouse released the anime version of the series was released. The series, being directed by Atsuko Ishizuka, has gained wide popularity. IMDB has rated this series with a seven out of 10. 

The season one, the show premiered on April 9, 2014, and ended on June 15, 2014, with 12 episodes. Since then, we have no news regarding the release of season 3. Let’s discuss the release of season two here.

Release Date of No Game No Life Season 2

It has been more than five years since the season had ended. Since then, there is no official news regarding the release of the season. Some speculate that since the story had us in a cliff, there shall be a season two coming out. But even if season two were to be released the following year, it would have been pushed ahead due to the pandemic.

Fans hopefully wish that they get to see the next season by the year 2021. Let’s hope for the best.


Sora is an 18-year-old boy, and Shiro is his stepsister. Another gamer is Stephanie, who is the granddaughter of the previous king of Elkia. Other characters include Jibril, Warbeast, Kurami Zell, Dhampirs, sirens, and many others. 

The story

The series revolves around a group of gamers trying to defeat the lord of games to retrieve the throne. The story sets starts when the siblings achieve victory in a game of chess and are summoned to the Dashboard.

They travel to Elkia, and over there, they meet Stephanie. The story further continues for the three of them, trying to defeat their obstacles and enemies to achieve the throne.
