Code Geass is a Japanese series directed by Gorō Taniguchi and produced by Sunrise. The manga version written by Shigeru Morita and illustrated by Toujou Chika and has four manga adaptions till now. 

On August 24, 2006, the first version released, and the final version released on February 24, 2010.

The manga received high popularity, due to which the manga had converted to an anime. Season one of the anime premiered on October 6, 2006, with 23 episodes. The series seemed to well-liked by the audience, because of which Season 2 released. Season 2 released on April 6, 2008, with 25 episodes. But it’s pretty long since we have heard any news about season 3. Let’s find out.

Is Season 3 coming? 

The season two of the manga ended in 2008, its almost been more than ten years, and there is no news about Season 3. Season 2 was very much loved and had a positive reception, so many of the fans are expecting a comeback. Unfortunately, it looks like we won’t be having a season 3 soon. Anime usually take a minimum of 4 years for a new season to renew, so there might be very fewer chances about the next season. However, fans need not be disheartened, as the movie anime released.

The movie Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection released on February 9, 2018. So you can have a look at it as of now. 

What’s the plot? Is Lelouch alive?

The series is set in the Holy Britannian Empire and is about power. It starts with Lelouch vi Britannia, the exiled prince of Britannia. Earlier, the murder of his mother, Marianne, had caused his sister Nunnally vi Britannia to go under a trauma. After which he and his sister were sent to Japan. Hence later in the series, Lelouch obtains immense power from a woman named CC.

The power he received is also called the Geass, which helps him fight against the Holy Britannian Empire. At the end of season 2, we can see that Suzaka executed Lelouch. Hence, it leads to Nunnally as the empress of Britannia.


The main cast includes few people. Lelouch Lamperouge as an exiled prince. C.C, the mystery woman who hands the power to Lelouch and Suzuka, Lelouch’s childhood friend.
