Dr. Stone is a Japanese Anime series based on the manga that is illustrated by Boichi and written by Riichiro Inagaki. The series also has its manga chapters published in the famous Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 6, 2017. The series has released only season one as of now. Season one premiered on July 5 to December 13, 2019, and had a total of 24 episodes.
Currently, series is available in English as well, with subtitles from Crunchyroll. IMDB has rated this series with an 8.2 out of 10.

It was the 8th most-watched anime series on Netflix in 2019. Crunchyroll also listed the series in their “To 25 best animes of 2010”.

Release Date of Dr. Stone Season 2

During the end of Season 1 of the series, the team has officially declared about the Season 2. The series would have released by the end of this year. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the release of series might delay. So we can expect this season to release somewhere around 2021.

The Cast of Season 2

The main characters include Senku Ishigami( Aaron Dismuke ), Taiju Oki (Ricco Fajardo), Gen Asagiri (Brandon McInnis), and Yuzuriha Ogawa(Brittany Lauda). The other members include Kohaku(Felecia Angelle), Tsukasa Shishio(Ian Sinclair), and Hyoga(Jerry Jewell).

The plot of Dr. Stone Season 2 

The series revolves around a mysterious light that appeared after 3700 years and converted everyone in the earth like a stone. A genius boy named genius boy, Senku Ishigam wants to know the real reason behind the mysterious light and wants to rebuild human civilization all over again. But somewhere, there existed a village which was formed by people who were safe when the strange light had appeared. They were said to be astronauts and were in space during that time. His friend Senku, who is against the idea of rebuilding, challenges him for a stone war.

In season 2 of the series will be mainly focused on the “Stone war” arc from the manga series and might answers a lot of unanswered questions.
