Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 is an upcoming superhero movie based on the Marvel Comics. James Gunn will be the director of the forthcoming sequel. Earlier, two installments have already released. Guardians of Galaxy Vol.1 released on August 1, 2014. Vol. 2 hit the screens on  May 5, 2017. The movie received a lot of popularity and positive reviews. After ‘The Avenger’ and ‘Iron Man,’ this movie became the third highest-grossing film in the MCU. It was also the highest-grossing movie in 2014.

Release Date of Vol.3

There were many controversies related to the release. The director James Gunn had announced in April 2017, that the Vol 3 would return. But in 2018, Disney and Marvel cut ties with James as he had accusations of misbehavior. In 2019, James was taken back as a director for the upcoming sequel. However, he released that the movie wouldn’t release anytime soon as he is busy with the other project, The Suicide Squad. The film might release in 2021.

The Cast

The main cast would remain the same for Vol. Chris Pratt will continue his role as the half-alien Star-Lord. Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket. Other members include Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, and Djimon Hounsou.

Plot and will Gamora come back to life?

The plot for the next film might continue the story from where the Vol.2 ended. Reports also suggest that that the movie might include comic characters like Adam Warlock and Ayesha. The film also might have some link with the Avengers: Endgame as the guardians had helped to defeat Thanos.

In the Infinity War, we see Thanos trading his adopted daughter Gamora’s soul in exchange for retrieving the soul stone. So Thano’s pushes her down the cliff and gets the soul stone. In the sequel, we might see Gamora back or might not. We will keep you updated till then!
