The anime series, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 2, is set to release! Yes, you heard that right. The anime series was created based on the light novel written by Fuse.
‘The season premiered on October 2, 2018, to March 19, 2019, and has a total of 24 episodes. Yasuhito Kikuchi directs the series. A spin-off anime is also set to release in January 2021. IMDB has rated this series with a complete 8 out of 10.
The manga adaptation won the best selling title in 2018 and also won the 2018 Bookwalker award.
Release Date of Season 2
The team has officially announced the second installment of the series. The next part is said to premiere in October 2020, and animations are to be continued by Eight Bit. They have also stated that the upcoming season will be a split-cour anime, and the remaining second half will air on April 2021 with 12 episodes in each part. As of now, no trailer has come out.
The cast of Season 2
The team announced that the cast would remain the same for the upcoming season. Since anime includes several characters, we have considered the recurring characters.
It includes Takuma Terashima as Satoru Mikomi/Rimuru, Megumi Toyoguchi as the Great Sage, Tomoaki Maeno as Veldora Tempest by (Japanese). Yumiri Hanamori as Shizue Izawa, Rigurd by Kanehira Yamamoto, Rigor by Haruki Ishiya.
The plot, and what’s next?
The story revolves around a 37-year-old man Satoru who is currently with the life he has, although it is annoying. One day he was stabbed by an unknown figure. After he gained consciousness, he found himself turned into slime and placed in a strange world.
Satoru now has the power of being a slime, that is capture anything and turn into a shape he wishes to. He crosses path with Veldora. Satoru being sorry for Veldora decides to help him out, and in return of it, Veldora promises to protect him and now calls him the Rimuru Tempest.
