Succession is an American humorous web series created by Jesse Armstrong. The first season of the series premiered on June 3, 2018. The second season aired on August 11, 2019, having ten episodes both the season. The show has received positive reception for its story on power.

It has won several awards like Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Drama, Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series. It also had nominations for five Primetime Emmy Awards.


HBO officially announced the renewal of Season 3 through this twitter post on August 21, 2019.

Though the actual date of the release is unknown, the production is on hold due to the ongoing global pandemic. We can hope that the announcement will by the end of this year.


The cast members will remain the same as the previous two seasons. Brian Cox as Logan Roy, Jeremy Strong as Kendall Roy, Sarah Snook as Shiv. Kieran Culkin as Roman Roy, Matthew Macfadyen as Tom Wambsgans, Nicholas Braun as Greg Hirsch. Alan Ruck as Connor Roy, Hiam Abbass Marcia Roy, Peter Friedman as Frank Vernon.


The story revolves around the hierarchy of power. Logan Roy is the CEO of the family-owned Waystar Royko. The story starts with Logan announcing that he won’t step down as the CEO of the company and assigned his wife, Marcia as his successor upon his death.

Logan’s primary focus is on the company, rather than his family. All his four children Kendall, Connor, Roman, and Siobhan, start struggling for acclaiming their position in the company.

What to expect in Season 3?

At the end of Season 2, Kendall was to take the responsibility of a scandal for the company. But when the time arrived, Kendall stood for himself and blamed his father in front of the press. Season 2 ends with Logan smiling while watching the telecast.

Since there is no trailer or official plot revealed, it looks like season 3 will start from the end of season 2. Will Logan take revenge for his son’s betrayal?
