‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Release date, cast, plot, trailer and how Steve Trevor returns!


Another much-awaited superhero film, Wonder Woman 1984, is all set to release! This movie is a sequel to the Wonder Woman(2017). Like we all are aware, the previous release was a major hit and was the tenth highest-grossing film of 2017. The movie also became the highest-grossing movie by a female director. Jenkins is all set to direct the sequel, and fans have high expectations from her!

As far as Wonder Woman 1984 is considered, it is directed by Patty Jenkins and produced by DC Films. It is the second film featuring Wonder Women after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Release Date

The release date of the movie has shifted thrice. The first was on December 13, 2019, then moved to November 1, 2019, then to June 5, 2020. Due to the ongoing world pandemic, the movie is going to hit the screens on August 14, 2020.

Gal Gadot will be back again for the role of Wonder Woman. Chris Pine will return back as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright, as General Antiope and Connie Nielsen as Hippolyta. We will also be seeing new faces like Kristen Wigg as Villian Cheetah, Pedro Pascal, as Maxwell Lord. Later it was announced that Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, and Kristoffer Polaha would also be in the movie, with roles undisclosed yet.

The plot, and does Steve Trevor return?

From the trailer, we see that the whole movie deals with time. The plot sets back in 1984, as suggested by the name. It describes the story between Diana Prince and her enemies. We can see Kristen Wigg in the role of Cheetah, who once was her friend, now turned into an enemy.
