The Last Kingdom is a British historical drama of the ninth century set in Hungary. It was inspired by novel series The Saxon Stories by Bernard Cornwell, which depicts the division of England into the seven kingdoms and also shows Vikings conquering the land which is owned by Anglo-Saxons.
Netflix picked up The Last Kingdom after its second season.
The Last Kingdom Season 4 Release Date:
The first season was launched in October 2015 on BBC America also on BBC Two United Kingdom. Netflix picked this show from season 2, and it got premiered in March 2017 on BBC Two and Netflix as well. Unfortunately, the BBC ended premiering after the second season. However, Netflix confirmed all its further seasons.
The third season was launched in November 2018 on Netflix. After one month of season 4, renewal was also confirmed. The Last Kingdom Season 4 is releasing on 26 April 2020.
The Last Kingdom season 4 Cast:
Season 4 will be featuring Alexander Dreymon as Uhtred of Bebbanburg, Ian Hart as Father Beocca, Emily Cox as Brida, Joseph Milson as Aelfric, Toby Regbo as Aethelred, and Timothy Innes as Kind Edward. Also, we will see Mark Rowley as Finan, Eliza Butterworth as Aelswith, Magnius Bruun as Cnut, and Millie Brady as Aesthelflaed.
The Last Kingdom season 4 Storyline:
The story revolves around Uhtred, a Saxon boy who is brought up by Danes, who treats him as his own, and later, the boy betrays his own people. And Danes comes to know that he had killed his foster father named Ragnar the Elder. He was then sent to some other kingdom that does not belong to Danes, and there he betrays Danes by revealing their tricks of battle.
The fourth season is inspired by The Pagan Lord’s novel series seventh part. It is assumed that season 4 will depict the challenges faced by Uhtred along with his uncle Aelfric. If the fans go according to the book, it is assumed that this season will be featuring new faces after the Uhtred’s kid grows up. Just waiting for the trailer to actually see what happens.
