An official announcement made by Alison Brie confirmed the return of the fourth season of GLOW on Netflix. It will be the final season of this much-beloved TV series. Famous for its 1980s women’s professional wrestling atmosphere, this show was created by the duo of Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch. It first premiered on June 23, 2017. This show was on the verge of getting canceled due to low ratings. But thanks to its accolades and Emmy nomination, it is set to glow for one more time!

Plot

This show centers around Ruth Wilder, who joins a professional wrestling promotion called the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW). She doesn’t like Sam Sylvia (GLOW’s director) because of his cynical behavior and unorthodox working style. Debbie Eagan, a retired soap opera actress, also joins the show. Debbie hates Ruth because she divorced her husband, Mark, due to his affair with Ruth. The feud between these two ladies decides the fate of GLOW.

What Are We Going To See In Season 4?

Fans are curious to know about what is going to happen in season 4. Especially after seeing a cliffhanger ending of the third season. Will we see Ruth accepting Debbie’s offer of a directing job? Will we see the group getting back together? All these questions are expected to be answered in the upcoming season. According to a rumor, the wrestlers will appear with their new personas for reinventing GLOW. But we can definitely say that this Netflix original is going to end on a happy note.

Alison Brie and Betty Gilpin are both going to play the characters of Ruth “Zoya The Destroya” Wilder and Debbie “Liberty Belle” Eagan, respectively. Sydelle Noel (Cherry “Black Magic” Bang), Kate Nash (Rhonda “Britannica” Richardson), Marc Maron (Sam Sylvia), Kia Stevens (Tammé “The Welfare Queen” Dawson), Gayle Rankin (Sheila “The She-Wolf”), Britt Baron (Justine “Scab” Biagi) and Chris Lowell (Sebastian “Bash” Howard) will also be seen in season 4.

This show has also featured several real-life wrestlers, including John Hennigan, Joey Ryan, Laura James, Alex Riley, Christopher Daniels, etc. Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair also appeared via archived video footage.

When Is It Going To Release?

The fourth season was going to release in 2020. But its production got delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. So, the fans will have to wait for at least 2021 for the release of the final season on Netflix.
