Altered Carbon is an American web series based on the 2002 novel. The series forms a mythical world where consciousness can be transferred to different bodies. The show begins its first season with Takeshi Kovacs, the protagonist, all set to solve a murder.
The show has two seasons, airing a total of 18 episodes. The first season was premiered on Netflix on February 2, 2018, and the second on February 27, 2020.
The show got a thumbs up from Rotten Tomatoes gaining 85% and an average rating of 7.16/10, thus, making it rise to the charts of popularity.

Season 2: Spoiler Alert!!
The second season begins 30 years after the Bancroft case. Trepp finds Kovacs in a bar as a woman and bar singer. She offers him a job, a high-tech sleeve, and the chance to see Quellcrist Falconer again.
The story then moves to Colonel Carrera, who is leading Axley’s murder investigation. Kovacs meets Poe and tells him that he is going to look out for Axley’s bounty hunter. Meanwhile, Poe’s memory deteriorates. Kovacs bumps into Quell. He brings her back to her senses and promises to find her before being arrested by Carrera.
While Carrera tortures Kovacs, Poe asks another AI for help. With Harlan’s Day celebrations in full swing, Kovacs hatches an escape plan. With the flow of the show, Quell’s sleeve suffers a breakdown forcing Poe and Ms. Dig to send her to VR. Inside the VR, Kovacs meets a destructive and unknown Quell, and after a series of incidents and fights, he comes to know the truth and her unnatural behavior and murderous tendencies.
The season ends with Kovacs, Quell, and the others teaming up to search for Conrad Harlan trying to stop him from his destructive path of Angelfire using their high tech scientific gadgets.

Anthony Mackie has joined the cast from the second season and has been an eye-candy to his viewers with his action sequences. With his deft and crisp action and dialogues, the actor has made the added a new spark to the series.
Renée Elise Goldsberry, our very own Quellcrist Falconer, teams up with Anthony and makes her dark side in the second season complements the action sequences making the series a lot more interesting.
