‘Mindhunter Season 3’: Release Date, Plot And Everything We Know So Far


Mindhunter is a physiological thriller crime series created by Joe Penhall and made its launch on Netflix. The series is based on the book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit, written by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker.

The series aired on October 13, 2017, with ten episodes, and after two years, season two on August 16, 2019, with nine episodes. 

This psychological thriller series has received a rating of 8.6 from IMDB with 97% rotten tomatoes,8.7 from TV.com. The series for its chilling episodes nominated for many awards, and Jonathan Groff won the Best actor-Drama series in 2018.

Unfortunately for the viewers, Netflix announced that it had put a hold on the release of Season 3 as the executive Producer Fincher is concentrating on his other projects.


The cast mainly includes Jonathan Groff as Holden Ford, Holt McCallany as Bill Tench, Anna Torv, as Wendy Carr. Furthermore, it also includes Hannah Gross, Cotter Smith, Stacey Roca, Michael Cerveris, and Lauren Glazier.

And some recurring members are Cameron Britton, Alex Morf, Joseph Cross, Marc Kudisch, and Michael Park.


Opening into 1977, the series shows the life of agents Ford and Bill. These two set out to expand knowledge in criminal science. The two of them, accompanied by Wendy Carr, a psychologist control the Behavioral Science Unit under the academy in Virginia.

This team tries to understand the mindset of criminals by investigating and understanding the mindset of criminals.

As we know, this series revolves around a chain of true events; hence it reveals and gives the viewers a glimpse of the most Notorious Killers—serial killers like Edmund Kemper, Dennis Radar, Wayne Williams, and Richard Speck.

We can see more of Wayne Williams in season 2, who was guilty of murder but never charged.

Although there is no news on the next season so let us not lose hope!
