The ending of the last season shows the dual deaths of Zoe and Dracula. Dracula, having drunk the blood of Agatha (a nun), had acquired her traits and showed mercy upon Zoe by freeing her from her suffering. He drank the toxic blood of Zoe suffering from terminal cancer, and in this way, he too died. He came to understand that he’s an aversion from the mirror, sunlight, crosses justify his character. He was too ugly having bestial traits to come in the open under sunlight or to see himself in the mirror. Moreover, he was the total opposite of Jesus Christ and hence hated cross.
