Orange Is The New Black (OITNB) is created by Jenji Kohan for Netflix. The American comedy-drama web television series is based on Piper Kerman’s memoir “Orange Is The New Black: My Year in Women’s Prison “. The memoir was published in 2010.  Titled productions and Lionsgate Television produce the series together.

Orange Is The New Black is based on Kerman’s experiences in federal prison. Back in 2018, the producers of the series confirmed that Orange Is The New Black Season 7 will the last season. Season 7 was premiered last July on Netflix. It seems streaming service Netflix intends to drop its homegrown shows, taking the example of House Of Cards. Netflix has quite some history of the revival of shows. Let’s hope Netflix decides to revive Orange Is The New Black. Fingers Crossed!! Hopefully, we see the cast of OINTB soon.

Orange Is The New Black has entertained us for a period of six long years. Piper’s on probation and has successfully bagged a job at a Thai restaurant. Piper is seen struggling as she juggles between her newfound life. Piper was set out early therefore, she’s responsible for her probationary fees. As the restaurant she’s a workout in is a small business she doesn’t earn a lot.  All of her income goes towards probationary fees and has no money left for her rent.


Season 7 of the series follows Taylor Schilling starting Piper Chapman after she’s released from the federal prison. Blanca Flores in this season has already transferred to a deportation center. Tasha Jefferson is found guilty of murder.
