The Haunting Of Hill House is an American supernatural horror drama web series. Mike Flanagan directed and created this series for Netflix. Amblin Television and Paramount Television have together produced this series. The initial season was based on the novel by Shirley Jackson. The plot alters between two different timelines. The plot is essentially about paranormal experiences witnessed at Hill House haunting the five siblings in their present. It was premiered in 2018 and was a total hit. Horror genre admirers absolutely loved it.
The sequel is named as Haunting of Bly Manor. The sequel is based on The Turn Of The Screw by Henry James. The sequel will incorporate a new setting with all fresh faces. Although, it is rumored that some of the actors of The Haunting Of The Hill House will return, fingers crossed!!. Flanagan confirmed it would be a similar type of story with bone-chilling scares.
The plot will be based on a governess traveling to Essex, England where Bly Manor is situated. The governess is entrusted to take care of an orphan boy & girl residing with their uncle who doesn’t want to responsible for parenting. Shortly after governess’s arrival, she suspects paranormal activities in Bly Manor. Is it her hallucinations? Is it her madness or is it true? Flanagan in an interview with Birth said, ” I already think it’s much scarier than Season 1, I’m very excited about it. “
Actress Victoria Pedretti (Nell) is confirmed to return for the sequel. Pedretti will be seen playing as Dani, the governess it was announced in Summer’19. The good news is that Pedretti isn’t the only one returning, Oliver Jackson Cohen (Nell’s twin), Henry Thomas (younger Hugh Crain) and Catherine Parker (Poppy Hill) will also be returning. Their character detail is still kept confidential and unannounced.
