Witcher season 2, release date, cast, plot and what we know: Geralt of Rivia will continue hunt monster’s:


The Witcher is an American fantasy drama series produced by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. Set on a fictional, medieval-inspired landmass known as “the Continent”.It is based on the book by polish writer Andrezj Sapkowski.


The Witcher explores the legend of Geralt of Rivia  and princess Ciri, who are linked by destiny to each other. The show at the beginning  follows the three main protagonists at different points of time, exploring formative events that shaped their characters, before eventually merging into a single timeline.

The season 2 will have more straightforward plot line as the three protagonist has met each other by the end of season 1 climax , there will be episodic monster hunting by the Geralt but the major focus will be going deep in to each characters backdrop and also relation between Geralt and Ciri.


Henry Cavill (Geralt), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer) and Freya Allan (Ciri) will all return for The Witcher season 2.  Deadline  reports that Carmel Laniado has joined the cast as a young girl called Violet for at least three episodes.

There are  reports that two new witchers are joining the cast: Lambert, played by Paul Bullion, and Coën, played by Yasen Atour. This has added fuel to the fire that a lot of The Witcher season 2 will take us to Kaer Morhen, where witchers are trained.


The Netflix has announced that the eight episode season will return in the early 2021 and the production will start from July of 2020 in London.


The witcher has established itself as the next big thing in the web series world after the Games of throne ,with a viewership of 76+ million viewer of first season  setting it up for many season to come it has all the cinematic exposure which will keep the audience glued to it. and also all the actors has easiy sunk into their respective roles pretty smoothly which is great for the series future.
