Welp,let’s get right into it.
The first season of Demon Slayer has seen an amazing viewership and fans are more than ready for the second season of Kimetsu no Yaiba.
Ufotable has announced a Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba movie for 2020. The film was confirmed shortly after the airing of Demon Slayer episode 26,the first season’s finale.
Reviews of the first season have been amazing and often topped the charts on Hulu and Crunchyroll. Kimetsu no Yaiba will be the sequel of it’s first counterpart and has a lot in store for us.
The story follows our protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado, who goes on to avenge the killing of his family. Killed by whom you might ask? Flesh eating demons! That’s right, this story is as gory as it can get.
So when is it releasing?
Ufotable announced the sequel shortly after Demon Slayer season 1’s finale. The movie is expected to premiere in 2020.
Fans are excited by this news as they didn’t have to wait long for the transition.
What is in store for us this season?
Episodes 25 and 26 of the previous season hinted the Demon train arc, which will likely be the main focus this time.
“First, we’re going to give it our all to these 26 episodes that are in production right now – and while we don’t have any future plans, I’d like to start thinking about anything beyond that once we are done.” said Yuma Takahasi, director. But the good news is soon after the finishing of episode 26,they jumped onto Season 2.
The story for the anime is based on the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga series by writer Koyoharu Gotoge.
The awesome part is that Ufotable is not rushing through the manga, so the storyline is slightly less than two chapters of manga per episode.
The Demon Slayer movie will pick up with Chapter 52, the beginning of Demon Train arc.
In the meantime let’s rewatch the first season and get ready for the next!
