Are you guys ready for the second installment of A Discovery of Witches, adapted from Deborah Harkness’ All Souls trilogy?
The second season is likely to be set in Elizabethan London where Matthew and Diana are looking for a powerful witch teacher to help Diana control her magic. Oh, and also look for the Elusive Book of Life.
Anne Mensah remarked “Season one was a brilliant introduction to the All Souls world and the love story between Diana and Matthew.”
The fans witnessed how the characters evolved and came to love them for their flaws.
The first season was received well by viewers and it’s no surprise that it is being renewed for season 2 and 3 as well.
When is season 2 returning?
The series is set to return in 2020 although the date is not yet finalized.
A Discovery of Witches season 2 is filmed in both UK and Italy.
Production should be complete by now meaning season 2 is on it’s way faster than expected.
Who’s in it?
Season two will see Steven Cree, Sheila Hancock, James Purefoy and Paul Rhys join the cast. Along with the leads Teresa Palmer and Matthew Goode, this season is fully star packed.
With a power-packed ending and Matthew finally tasting Diana’s blood, season one ended on a high note.
This British television series managed to garner quite a fan following. Set in a world where witches, vampires and daemons secretly live and work alongside humans. Many fans wonder as to how the second novel will be crammed up in just 10 episodes.
A lot happens in the second novel including meeting of all the members of the school of night, spending time at Sept Tours with Phillipe and much more. Fans are excited to see how season 2 will turn out.
