Virgin River Season 2 Release Date [Confirmed] Diving back into the small town with Everything We Know so Far

Based on the New York Times best-selling book series “Virgin River” by Robyn Carr, the web series with the same name was first released on Netflix on December 6th, 2019.

The book was first released in 2007 and due to a huge demand by the audience, Netflix decided to turn it into a web series.

Quickly gaining popularity, the romantic drama was renewed for a Season 2 right after the Season 1 premiere, much to the delight for the fans. The news served as a perfect Christmas present.

Will there be a season two?

YES!!

The cast took to Twitter to announce that there will definitely be a season 2. Although we don’t have a trailer yet, the audience is buzzing with anticipation.

When will it be out?

Author of the book series, Robyn Carr

The shooting for season two started in September of 2019 and was concluded on 17th December. So we can expect the show to be out around early to mid-2020

What is it about?

The protagonist Melinda Monroe ( Alexandra Breckenridge)  reverted to an advert which stated that a mid-wife was needed in the town of Virgin River, California. Wanting to leave her past behind, she quickly moves to the town only to realise that it is not as comfortable or welcoming as she had hoped.

She soon finds herself in the midst of a romance and realises that she needs to heal herself before she can actually call that small town her home.

What can we expect from Season 2?

The primary question that needs to be answered is – Will Mel decide to live in Virgin River after all?

And will the romantic counterpart Jack Sheridan ( Martin Henderson) choose Mel over being a potential father with a woman he does not love?

The book series has 20 volumes, so there is bound to be a ton of spicy drama.

Who all will be returning?

Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson

Although no official statements have been made, we can expect the main cast to make a comeback.  Mel Monroe ( Alexandra Breckenridge), Jack Sheridan ( Martin Henderson), John Middleton ( COlin Lawrence), Joey Barnes( Jenny Cooper), Charmine Roberts ( Lauren Hammersley) and Hope McCrea( Annette O’Toole) are all expected to return.
