The British historical fiction television series later acquired by Netflix has been officially announced to return for the fourth season on 26th December 2018 by the official of Netflix though official release date hasn’t been finalised yet but we can expect it to release by the end of 2020 hopefully.And should contain 10 episodes just like its previous season.
All the leading cast member including Alexander dreymon,Emily cox,David Dawson,harry entire are likely to return to reprise their roles. also Jeppe Beck Lauren to plays one of the central villains in the upcoming season ,Netflix has also confirmed that Prime Suspect 1973 star Stefanie Martini will join the cast as Eadith, who will be Aethelred’s new love conquest. Jamie Blackley will join the cast as Aethelred’s new right-hand man Eardwulf.. The story of the series is based upon a few sets of novels named “The Saxon Stories,” which was written by the novelist named “Bernard Cornwall.” earlier broadcaster by the BBC in the first two season was later taken over by the Netflix who not only increased the number of episodes but add more characters to the story line.The series is captured primarily in Hungary with most scenes at the eight acres near Budapest owned by Kroda Studio.the story is about the main character re-baptised as Uhtred after his elder brother is killed by the invading Danes. with last season focusing mostly on the Uhtred-Alfred relationship at the core of the story is likely to continue from there only and will based on the book the Pagan lord released in 2013.
till now the story has been highly rated i.e 8.3 IMdb rating and 91% in rotten tomatoes which confirms that the coming season won’t dissappoint the eagerly awaiting fans and will be a ” kick to there face” it will stream directly from the Netflix app and can be enjoyed by the fans by late 2020.
